-Ethics by Alain Badiou (very very nice book)
-Critique of Cynical Reason by Peter Sloterdijk (a hot book when it was written but a little dated now. Why are more of his books not translated into English? It's irritating.)
-The Elementary Forms of Religious Life by Emile Durkheim (just trying to get a handle on those people in the world who have faith)
-Supermodernism by Hans Ibelings (re-reading it, helps me see a way out of tiring and tired post-modernism)
-November Wire magazine (it's the first time I've actually purchased a copy, wanted to this time cuz' it covers my friends Blevin Blectum and J Lesser)
-Terry Eagleton's After Theory (His writing style is so hyperbolic and over-the-top, but so much fun to read as well)
-Freud and the Non-European by Edward Said (really enjoying this)
-The Art of Loving by Erich Fromm (via plug on Click Opera. I like his ideas in general but his homophobia is sickening)
-Age of the Masters by Reyner Banham (very personal view on modern architecture)
-Le Corbusier, a collection of essays on his work by Tim Benton, Iannis Xenakis, Reyner Banham, and others
Comments
